Exterior
Pick up litter, newspapers and phone books from driveways and door fronts
Inspect the roof from ground
Inspect doors and windows
Inspect sprinkler systems for water leaks
Interior
Run faucets to flush for sewer gases
Inspect ceilings for roof leaks
Inspect ceilings and baseboards for termite infestation
Inspect under kitchen/bathroom sinks for water leaks/insects
Turn on garbage disposal
Flush and scrub toilets, and plastic wrap if needed
Fill and maintain water in evaporation buckets
Check refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine

This Letter is to introduce Mr. Hank Tropea, owner of Hank’s Housewatching Services. This company has been taking care of our home during the summer months when we are out of the area.
They have done an exemplary job for me. Last year they found a leak in our water separator valve on our washer, which would have created a major problem if left unrepaired for the entire summer. They identified the problem and replaced the valve, without any damage resulting.
There were also unexpected weeds that showed up in our yard and they sprayed all the weeds and kept the yard looking nice for our return in the fall.
Also, our air conditioner unit failed and they alerted me by phone which allowed me to call our air conditioner repair service, who made a speedy repair of a small electrical part. This saved the house from sitting during the hottest months without air conditioning.
We found Hank’s Homewatching to be a very valuable service and certainly extremely worthwhile and cost effective. We plan to continue our relationship with this company for future years.
